South Australia- State of diversity

The beneift of such a broad and vast country is the level of diversity available across South Australia. Local growers commited to handling of fruit and winemaking process, that reinvigorates the land, leaving it better off than when they found it- all of this translates into amazing wines of varietal character and purity. With 18 wine regions on offer and named as a "great wine capital of the world". (There are just 11 who hold this prestigous title). With commercial vineyards planted around 1840 there is a weath of history to be drawn upon, yet the story continues to be written with producers passionate about making thier mark on the industry emerging each year, drawing on community spirit of supply of grapes of the highest standard being offered and ultimately made in tiny quantites. We are here to connect you with these passionate individuals.

Raga Wine - Adelaide Hills

For this small batch winemaker, sustainability is the core value upon which RAGA is founded. The best quality fruit is hand-picked from vineyards certified sustainable and practicing organic methods. To this end, its not until the growing season is nearing its end that variety and region for vintage is determined. Sid Pachare draws upon a network of passionate growers from across South Australia, to secure the most amazing fruit of that season. The wines are made questioning the efficacy of winemaking methods, be it traditional or nouveau, with healthy scepticism. A hands-on approach is used in making the wine. Wild fermentation where appropriate, traditional pigeage, basket pressing, maturing in seasoned, large format oak, no fining or filtration. The resultant wine is equally as scarce as it is pure in its varietal expression. Total production of current vintage release of Cabernet Franc- Less than 800 bottles. The original artwork for the spiral that adorns the label was also painted by Sid, another emphasises to his expression of creativity in the deceptively difficult simplicity that is RAGA.

13Hundred Wines - Rosedale

Taking traditional wine-making methods and redefining your pallete Artisan-made. Basket Pressed. It all begins with an idea. Mates from the Barossa; Andy, Chad and Clayton share the same love and passion for wine. They have turned a hobby into something much more, producing small parcels of wine and having fun in the meantime.
Commencing in 2018, the idea for 13 Hundred Wines came as all good ideas do, after a ‘few’ beers at the local. Being a sucker for Roman numerals and with the combined initials MCCC resulting in 1300, Clayton’s wisdom created 13 Hundred Wines (So he says). With help from a local grower, the boys had their first vintage crushed, pressed and barrelled. Working with passionate growers across the Barossa Valley and other regions. The focus is to take traditional wine-making methods and make them their own, with the aim to craft easy-drinking wines. The wines are light, fresh and approachable.

Lost Penny Wines Barossa Valley

For Carol and Nick Riebke, it’s only natural that their combined knowledge, passion, family heritage and dedication to Barossa winemaking traditions have all been poured into Lost Penny Wines. Although the label is a relative newcomer to the market, the story began when their ancestors arrived with the earliest German and European immigrants who have since shaped the rich culture and traditions that the Barossa is so well known for today. With estate plantings on a property held by the family dating back to the late 1800's, the absolute best parcels of fruit are selected, each year limiting production to just a few barrels of each variety.
