Wynns Black Label Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2008
Wynns Black Label Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2008
Wynns Black Label Cabernet is a true icon of Australian wine. First produced in 1954, it has a reputation for ageing gracefully and displaying excellent varietal and regional characteristics. The wine is produced from only the top quality 20 to 25 per cent of Cabernet Sauvignon fruit grown in our terra rossa vineyards.
A wine of style and stature - and a perennial favourite in auction circles - ‘Black Label’ is one of Australia’s most collectable wines and Australia’s benchmark Cabernet Sauvignon. It consistently delivers potential for medium to long-term cellaring.
"Cassis, vanilla cocoa and mint with an undercurrent of rich rolling tobacco. It’s medium to full bodied with a beautifully thick tannic texture that rolls through the mouth gently and surely with no assault from oak, alcohol or acidity – just the firm confidence of quality ripe fruit and positive oak. Finishes with a slick of creamy tannin and a pinch of dried herb. It’s a fulsome ripe year Coonawarra, much like 2005 or 1998, perky, fighting fit and ready for action now, yet age shall not weary it. A Monty for the cellar." Gary Walsh 94+ Points
