Tahbilk Marsanne 2011

Purchased by the Purbrick family in 1925, Tahbilk is the oldest family-owned winery and vineyard in Victoria, Australia. As proud custodians of Tahbilk Estate, the family has been at the forefront of sustainability, ensuring Tahbilk’s rich heritage, winemaking style and unique natural environment is protected for the enjoyment of all for many years to come. 

It wouldn’t be Tahbilk without Marsanne. First planted on the Estate in the 1860s, we have largest single holding of this unique varietal worldwide including surviving vines dating back to 1927, amongst the oldest in the world.

Typical aged Marsanne development on the nose, toasty, honeysuckle, and a hint of marzipan. The nose gives indication for some complexity on the palate that is delivered alongside still youthful traditional lemon and lime characters on the palate. Subtle hints of lanolin on a deliciously clean finish.
