Fruit from these vineyards was set aside, and made in small batches to highlight this character as single vineyard wines under the name “VSV” – Very Special Vineyards.
Only made in exceptional years.

1 x Ruediger 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon

Peter Lehmann Wines draws on a network of over 140 growers across the Barossa to produce wines of great distinction. This Cabernet is named after the Ruediger brothers who own the Barossa vineyards from which it was sourced. This Cabernet is a blend of two low-yielding vineyards that consistently stand out for their individual character. Dense with an explosion of cassis and redcurrant and a layer of crushed leaf. Shows mouth-watering acidity and ripe yet chalky tannins on the rich finish.

2x "1885" 2012 Shiraz

Deep crimson-purple; the grapes come from the Ebenezer Vineyard of the 16th generation Schrapel family, only 370 dozen made; a 10-day fermentation/maceration followed by 10 months in French oak. It pulses black fruits, licorice and plush tannins, the oak seemingly with a high percentage of new barrels, but easily accommodated by the fruit, the overall mouthfeel perfectly balanced and elegant.
