Bowen Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

All the natural elements of 2012 added up to a great vintage. Ideal growing and
ripening conditions with ample winter rains, cool nights, warm days, and excellent
acid levels all guaranteed opulent fully ripe fruit. A great Coonawarra vintage! 

An opulent and stylish wine that leaps out of the glass. Plenty of seductive dark berry fruit characters dominate not only the bouquet but the palate as well. Delicately handled fine grain French oak supports all aspects of this wine. The palate is well structured and richly textured with classic Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon berry richness and balanced tannins. A brilliant harmonious wine from one of the better Coonawarra vintages.

"Combines ripeness and composure with aplomb. Easy as you like. Redcurrant, dark cherry and cassis married to cedary, clovey oak. It's seamless and balanced and stitched with fine threads of tannin. Beautifully medium-bodied. Just when you think it's over, it lingers some more."
