Hewitson Private Cellar Shiraz Mourvèdre 2008 Magnum 1.5L
Established in 1998 Hewitson winery is situated in the heart of the Barossa Valley on the historic Seppeltsfield Road and boasts some of the oldest vines in the world. Our fruit is sourced from historic, dry-grown vineyards in the Barossa Valley and also from single site vineyards in Eden Valley, McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills.
At Hewitson, we believe great wines are an expression of the soils they are grown in and the season they grow. Through knowledge and experience we strive for balance, structure, concentration, power and breeding. Proudly, through solar energy, water recycling and encouraging natural biodiversity, Hewitson brings these wines to your table environmentally sustainable.
"Each vintage we select fruit of exceptional quality and offer you a limited release wine worthy of a Private Cellar status. It's a one off, made from fruit which we believe truly qualifies for elegant ageing, and a superb example of the best of what that particular vintage has offered us." Hewitson.
"Good colour to a wine highlighting the synergy between old vine Shiraz and Mourvèdre; the bouquet has an array of sultry black fruits which the palate builds on with its complex flavour, texture and structure all harmoniously interwoven; perfect line, length and balance; the 20-year cellaring suggestion on the label is conservative." James Halliday 96 Points.
